About The Position

The Planning Department manager will be responsible for leading a global team, managing consumption forecast, global inventory management, and production planning (work orders) in the company's factories.

The role includes managing the inventory of raw materials and finished goods, developing production plans, focusing specifically on work orders, and planning raw material requirements. Additionally, it involves managing the coordination between procurement, production, and logistics departments to ensure product availability on time while optimizing inventory levels.

Responsibilities

1.     Material & Inventory Planning:

o  Lead and manage the global material planning (raw materials, consumables, and packaging ) process across four production sites.

o  Maintain optimal stock levels aligned with sales forecasts, production requirements, and lead times.

o  Defining and implementing inventory management policies based on sales forecasts and market demand.

o  Continuously improve processes to reduce inventory holding costs while ensuring product readiness.

o  Develop and track key performance indicators, such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and material service levels.

o  Rapid response to changes in customer orders or supply chain disruptions.

o  Global Material Stocktaking management.


2.     Planning Operations Management

o  Translate demand forecasts into detailed material, purchasing and production plans.

o  Manage long-term and short-term demand forecasting, integrating data from sales, marketing, and operations.

o  Develop quarterly and annual procurement planning budgets.

o  Monitoring, reporting, and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory levels, raw materials availability and forecast accuracy.



3.     Planning Process Management:

o  Develop, implement, and monitor yearly departmental work plans and SOPs.

o  Creating purchasing demands based on sales forecasts and market trends.

o  Building and overseeing quarterly purchasing budgets.

o  Managing and integrating planning with the procurement, production, and logistics departments.

o  Lead change management initiatives to support scalability and evolving business needs.

Requirements

o  Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management - Required

o  Master's degree - Advantage

o  Minimum 5 years of proven experience in inventory, material, and production planning within a global, high-volume manufacturing environment, ideally in the e-commerce sector.

o  Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced planning tools – preference for SO99+ and SAP B1.

o  Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with deep understanding of the supply chain.

o  A system-oriented thinker with a creative, out-of-the-box approach to problem-solving

o  High proficiency in Excel and BI tools.

o  Strong understanding of inventory management, forecasting, budgeting and data analysis.

o  Ability to manage both local and global teams.

o  Track record of developing and executing departmental strategies and continuous improvement initiatives (routines and work plans)

o  Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
